So, OK we agree WHY Employer Branding is great to have and even a must-have. We understand Employer Branding is the elixir that can transform Organizations into Super-organisms. And yes, we all would love to see it happen!
But it still doesn't answer some very basic questions most organizations are interested in:
- WHAT exactly is Employer Branding? Is it some lofty ideal, a castle built in the skies, or is it really a forgotten way of life, grounded in reality, that can be rediscovered?
- HOW does one build an iconic Employer Brand? Can only the elitist organizations with financial muscle dare to even think of it?
- WHO is responsible for Employer Branding? Is it HR? Is it Marketing? Is it Corp.Comm? Is it PR?
- WHEN should an organization start focusing on its Employer Brand? Is it when your organization has reached its tipping point in terms of its revenue, employee strength etc? Or is it when your plan to go public?
These are precisely the questions we would try and address in the coming posts.
For now, it suffices to say, Employer Branding is no rocket science; it is simplicity and common sense to its core!
